Privacy policy

We keep this simple. We only collect what we need to do your fire-safety work and stay in touch about it, we don't sell your data to anyone, and you can ask us what we hold at any time. RobinsFire (Cambs Fire Safe) is the data controller for the information described here.

What we collect

• Enquiry and booking details, your name, company, email, phone number, premises details and anything you tell us in a message or quote.
• Assessment information, information about your premises gathered to carry out the work, including photographs taken during a site visit.
• Basic technical data, standard website information such as your browser type and general location, where your settings allow it.

Why we use it

• To respond to your enquiry and provide a quote.
• To carry out and deliver the work you've booked, and to produce your report.
• To keep records we're required to keep, and to support our work if it's later queried.
• To contact you about your assessment, including reminders when a review or annual training is due, you can opt out of reminders at any time.

Our lawful basis

We process your information to take steps at your request and to perform our contract with you, to meet our legal obligations, and for our legitimate interest in running and improving a fire-safety business. Where we rely on consent, for example, optional reminders, you can withdraw it at any time.

How long we keep it

We keep assessment records and related information for as long as is sensible for a fire-safety service, so that your report and its history are available if an insurer, landlord or enforcing authority needs them, and to meet our own legal and insurance obligations. We don't keep personal data for longer than we need it.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your data. We only share it where it's necessary to deliver our service or meet a legal duty, for example, trusted suppliers who help us run the business (such as email or document services), or an authority where we're legally required to. Anyone who handles data on our behalf is required to protect it.

Keeping it secure

We hold the government-backed Cyber Essentials certification and take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse or unauthorised access.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, just contact us. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you're unhappy with how we've handled your data.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies. The site won't drop the optional ones until you accept them via the banner.

• Essential — we remember your cookie choice itself, and your in-progress quote answers if you refresh the page. No tracking, no third-party access.
• Marketing measurement (Google Ads) — if you accept cookies, we use Google Ads to track which adverts brought people to the site and which led to bookings. This helps us spend our advertising budget on the things that actually work. The cookies are set by Google and last up to 13 months.

You can change your mind any time — clear your browser's cookies for this site, refresh the page, and the banner will reappear.
