How we work

From site visit to a report you can act on.

No mystery, no black box. Here's exactly how an assessment goes, and what you end up holding at the end of it.

1 On site A RobinsFire assessor using the inspection app on site outside a commercial unit

We inspect, in person

Your assessor walks the premises and records findings as they go on our own inspection tool, capturing photos, notes and voice memos against each area, so nothing is missed or misremembered later.

2 We write it up A RobinsFire assessor writing up a fire risk assessment in the report-writing tool, with dictation and auto-tick checklists

We write it up properly

Back at the desk, your assessor turns the site data into a clear, evidence-based report, aligned to the latest legislation and industry guidance. Smart tools like dictation and auto-tick checklists save time without cutting corners.

3 You get a report A RobinsFire report finding showing reference, timescale, priority, photographic evidence and an action plan

You get a report you can act on

Every finding gets a reference, a priority, a target date and photographic evidence, with a plain-English action plan telling you what to do and by when. No jargon, no padding.

The honest version
For most premises, the real risk isn't a fire officer at your door. It's an insurer or landlord asking for a current assessment you don't have. Or paying to fix things you never needed to.

That's the bit most fire-safety marketing won't tell you.

We assess what genuinely matters

We're trained to judge real risk in your building, not to flag forty things so the report looks thorough.

No fear, no upsell

We won't scare you into buying things, and we won't pad the action plan to justify the fee. Proportionate, full stop.

The truth, in plain English

You'll know exactly where you stand and what to do next. No jargon, and no being talked down to.

Recent work

Recent projects we've worked on.

Real premises, real outcomes, focused on compliance and insurer-acceptance, never scare-narrative.

Listed conversion · St Ives

A 17th-century mews

The situation

A converted 1600s mews, now communal housing. A listed building with all the quirks of its age.

What we did

Listed status meant off-the-shelf recommendations didn't apply. We assessed what was genuinely reasonable given what could and couldn't be altered.

Life-safety deficiencies resolved. They've moved toward compliance, the responsible person has a defensible position, and they're no longer exposed with their property insurer.
Clinic & gym · Cambridgeshire

A busy physio clinic & gym

The situation

One site combining a physio clinic and a gym. Public access, treatment areas, equipment, and higher occupancy at peak times.

What we did

Assessed the whole site and gave the responsible person a plain-English, photo-rich report with a prioritised action plan. No scare tactics, no padding.

Deficiencies that could have triggered enforcement are resolved. They know exactly where to put their effort, without fixing things they didn't need to.
